Expert perspectives on effective, personalized learning beyond the classroom

In classrooms and tutoring batches, practical constraints can limit diagnosis, individual pacing, alternative explanations and opportunities for learners to expose confusion. Learners may also hesitate to ask questions because of shyness or fear of being judged. These constraints can leave misconceptions and prerequisite gaps unresolved even when content has been covered. Tutorgent is developing an AI-supported tutoring product designed around high-level intentions such as 24×7 availability, support in the learner’s own language, parent control over learning-related screen time, patient motivation and Socratic guidance that helps learners reason instead of simply revealing answers. The product and its final capabilities are still under development. Interaction could involve an on-screen AI tutor or avatar that cannot see the learner but listens to the learner’s voice, voice-only conversation, voice supported by text and visual explanations, or text chat. This survey seeks expert perspectives on sound pedagogy, evidence of understanding, responsible personalization, suitable delivery modes and the limits of current batch-based support. It is an exploratory research exercise, not a request to endorse Tutorgent. Responses will be used only in aggregate for research and product improvement and will not be sold.
